Welcome
Computing and Web Resources (CWR) is a support unit within the WSU College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) and Extension. The goal of the CWR staff is to help people become more efficient and effective through the use of computing, web, and networking technologies.
The technical expertise and resources of CWR are available to administrators, faculty, staff and graduate students in CAHNRS and Extension. The CWR unit serves over 1500 users on the WSU Pullman campus, WSU branch campuses, County Extension offices, and CAHNRS/Extension Research Centers.
Services
- Technical support and consulting for computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Server-based network and database services using Windows and Linux servers including departmental file servers, web sites, collaboration suites, email lists, email, calendaring, databases, network print services and data backup services.
- Online training and limited web meetings using Adobe Acrobat Connect.
- Computing and network security consultation and implementation, including secure web sites, file server security, firewalls, and virus protection software.
- Systems analysis and programming for online systems including design, development, hosting, and maintenance.
- Web design and support services using WSU Extension Web Templates.
- SharePoint development and support for collaboration and content management sites.
